VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Norman Rotaract/Food and Shelter Farmer's Market on July 7
Norman Rotaract is partnering with Norman Food and Shelter to provide a Farmer's Market that will help benefit the underserved populations of Central and Latin American immigrants within the Norman community.

In Spring 2021, several members of Norman Rotaract Club participated in New Gen Peacebuilders Training. This course helped encourage growth and empowered participants to create a project that would promote peace in their communities. Thus, Norman Rotaract Club decided to create a Free Farmer's Market that would serve Latin and Central American immigrants.

Norman Rotaract Club has successfully held this event twice before, serving hundreds of needy men, women, and children. However, we could not do it without volunteers. With our next Farmer's Market being held in the middle of summer, on Saturday, July 16, it has been difficult recruiting volunteers. If you are able, any help would be appreciated in helping serve communities that need it most.

If you are able to help, volunteers will meet at 7 am at Norman Food and Shelter to load supplies. The address for Norman Food and Shelter is 201 Reed Avenue, Norman, OK 73071. After this, volunteers will drive to Iglesia del Pueblo de Dios on 2040 W. Boyd St., Norman, OK, 73069 to help set up the Farmer's Market. Due to the heat, the Farmer's Market will only last 9:00 am - 10:30 am. At 10:30, we will break down the market and help load whatever is left over.

We are in desperate need of volunteers to make this event work. If you are available, please come help out at this awesome event!
