District 5770 Welcomes You

District 5770 is comprised of thirty-one Rotary clubs located in south and southwest Oklahoma. The District also sponsors Rotaract clubs in universities across our area and supports Interact clubs in area high schools. Click here to request information.

From it’s beginnings in 1915 as District 11, encompassing Kansas and Oklahoma, to its current moniker designated in 1990, Rotarians of the district have made it known our hearts are in service to our local communities, with support to the global efforts of Rotary International. District 5770 has produced two Rotary International Presidents: Everett W Hill, of the Shawnee, Oklahoma, Rotary club in 1924-1925, and Ron Burton, of the Norman, Oklahoma, Rotary club in 2013-2014. Herbert J. Taylor, author of the Four-Way Test, served as the third president of the Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, Rotary Club.  He later moved to Chicago and served as President of Rotary International from 1954-1955.

We welcome you to inquire about our District and our Rotary Clubs. Please contact us. We’d love to get to know you!

Rotary Clubs of Norman Food Drive
On Saturday, June 7, 2025, the 4 Rotary Clubs of Norman were joined by the Newcastle Rotary club to collect food for our annual food drive.
Sandra Longcrier of the Cross Timbers club organized and executed the program including communicating to the clubs to sign up volunteers, collecting boxes, obtaining traffic cones and arranging for the food to be picked up at the end of the event.
We'll learn later how much food was collected and how many volunteers were involved.
Overall, it was a great success despite a little rain.
